Liverpool transfers: Swansea staggered by Thomas Ince price tag
Liverpool transfers: Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins says Blackpool's asking price for Thomas Ince is staggering
Huw Jenkins says Swansea City have been left staggered by Blackpool’s asking price for Thomas Ince.
The Swans were reported to be weighing up an offer for the Championship’s young player of the season and made an enquiry about the England Under-21 international.
In April, Blackpool manager – and the forward’s father – Paul Ince valued his son at an eye-watering £25m after scoring 18 goals last season.
And Jenkins admitted Swansea have been priced out a move for Ince junior, who has also been linked with a return to his former club Liverpool this summer.
“The prices that have been quoted for Tom Ince are staggering,” Jenkins told talkSPORT.
“Our manager has been keen on him for a while, ever since he played for Blackpool against us.
“There’s no doubt he’s going to get a move this summer, but I’m not sure where he’ll end up going.”
Ince has scored 26 goals in 88 appearances for Blackpool after joining the Tangerines from Liverpool in 2011.
