David Moyes insists he is “happy” with how Manchester United’s transfer activity is shaping up this summer.

The Red Devils have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks, including the likes of Thiago Alcantara and Leighton Baines.

United have only so far brought in Uruguayan right-back Guillermo Varela this summer – but Moyes insists that work is going on behind the scenes to bolster his squad.

“We’re on with targets that we are chasing at this moment in time,” said Moyes. “There are people we are actively chasing and, at this moment in time, we’re happy with how things are going.”

When asked directly if Barcelona’s Thiago is still a target, Moyes replied: “I never said at any time that he was.”
