Man United transfers: Strootman won’t rush decision over his future
Man United transfers: Kevin Strootman says he will not be rushed into making a decision over his future amid Red Devils link
Kevin Strootman insists he will not rush a decision about his future amid speculation linking the PSV Eindhoven playmaker with a transfer to Manchester United.
The 23-year-old’s future has been a subject of speculation in recent weeks following an impressive 2012-13 season for the midfielder.
Strootman, who has been touted as a target for new United boss David Moyes, scored seven goals in 42 appearances as he fired PSV to cusp of a league title before losing out to defending champions Ajax.
Now, the player has claimed that there are a number of clubs interested in his services but says any potential deal must first be cleared by PSV.
“There are several clubs interested in me, but I will only come into the picture when they reach an agreement with PSV,” Strootman told Voetbal International.
“It is not just from the top six [leagues] of the world. There is also interest from Russia, but that is not an option for me.
“I will not make hasty decisions about my future.”
Strootman has scored 13 goals in 88 appearances for PSV after completing a move to the Eindhoven outfit from Utrecht in 2011.
