Man United transfers: Nemanja Vidic’s agent rubbishes Milan reports
Man United transfers: Nemanja Vidic's agent quashes speculation suggesting the Red Devils defender could join AC Milan
Nemanja Vidic’s agent has quashed reports suggesting the Manchester United captain could move to AC Milan this summer.
The Serbia international skippered the Red Devils to a 13th Premier League title last season which was the centre-half’s fifth title success since moving to Old Trafford from Spartak Moscow in 2005.
Vidic, who has two years remaining on his current Red Devils deal, scored once in 19 top-flight appearances last term as he came back from a knee injury which sidelined the defender for eight weeks last autumn.
In recent weeks, Milan had been linked with a bid for the Red Devils skipper, but the Serbian’s agent Silvano Martino is adamant that the rumours are just “pub talk”.
“We are talking with no-one. This is all pub talk,” Martino told the Daily Mirror.
“This is the first time I heard that news and I don’t know where it came from.
“We’re talking about the captain of Manchester United here, not just any player. Vidic has no problems with United – all the talk is hot air.”
