David Moyes says he wants to “win all the trophies” in his first season as Manchester United manager.

The 50-year-old kicked off his Red Devils reign last week after the Scot was confirmed as Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor at Old Trafford in May.

His predecessor masterminded United’s 13th Premier League title last season as the Ferguson’s men finished a comfortable 11 points clear of Manchester City.

And while Moyes has set his sights on winning the league, the former Everton manager also wants to emerge triumphant in the other competitions next term.

“You have to do well in all competitions – not just the Premier League,” he told the Sun.

“When you are at Manchester United my thinking is you have to go for everything, you attempt to win everything.

“Maybe you miss out sometimes, but you have to try to win all the trophies.

“I’ve done it everywhere else I’ve been and I’ll certainly do it here because I have a bigger squad, quality players and a club with the tradition of being used to winning things.”

Moyes failed to win any silverware during a 11-year reign at Goodison Park before leaving to join United.
