Petr Cech: Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho hungrier than ever for success
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech says Jose Mourinho is very hungry for success at the west London outfit
Petr Cech says Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho couldn’t be “more hungry” for success ahead of the new Premier League season.
The 50-year-old sealed his return to Stamford Bridge in June after leaving his post at Real Madrid following a three-year spell.
Mourinho won two Premier League titles, the League Cup twice and the FA Cup during his first spell in charge at the west London outfit.
But Cech reckons the Blues manager is even hungrier than before as Chelsea look to dethrone reigning Premier League champions Manchester United.
“Jose Mourinho can’t be more hungry,” said Cech. “He didn’t come back to enjoy his life. We are all here to try to prepare and to try to win things together.
“He’s the same (as before). The motivation is the same, the hunger for success is the same and you can see that the demand he has for the team is the same. He wants to be the best, we would like to be the best – let’s see if we can fulfil our expectations.”
