Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas reveals Sandro and Younes Kaboul are on the brink of a return to first-team training
Andre Villas-Boas has revealed Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro should return to full training with the Spurs squad in the Far East next week.
The Brazil international has been out-of-action after picking up a serious knee injury in a goalless draw with Queens Park Rangers in January.
The north London side, who finished fifth last season, play Swindon in a pre-season friendly before heading on their tour, and Villas-Boas expects to have Sandro available, while revealing Younes Kaboul has also recovered from his own injury setback.
“It’s a very good start to pre-season for both players,” Villas-Boas told the club’s
“It’s great for Younes after a year out to come back to training and have double sessions with no problems.
“Sandro hit six months last week (he was injured on January 12) and we are on plan, he’s made an excellent recovery and we’re very happy with him.
“One more week and he’ll join the group and he will also join us for full training in Hong Kong.”
