Tottenham transfers: Daniel Opare keen on Spurs move
Tottenham transfers: Daniel Opare admits he is flattered by speculation linking the Standard Liege defender a move to Spurs
Daniel Opare admits that he is flattered by speculation linking the Standard Liege defender with a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The 22-year-old has been touted as a possible target for Andre Villas-Boas as the Spurs boss looks to bolster his defensive options ahead of the new season.
And the Ghana international insists he feels he would be ready for the step up to the Premier League should he have the chance to seal a move to White Hart Lane.
“I am flattered by the interest of Spurs,” Opare is quoted as saying by Sky Sports. “They are a very good team in England I will jump at the chance to join them if they reach an agreement with my current club.
“I know there is a long way to go yet and also the level in England is a lot higher than in Belgium, but I think I can play there at a good level.
“If I get the chance to play for a team like Tottenham I will take it.”
