‘Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey is starting to boss the midfield’
Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski becomes the latest player to single out Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey for special praise
Lukasz Fabianski has become the latest player to single out Aaron Ramsey for special praise following a string of impressive performances for Arsenal.
The 22-year-old midfielder was the star of the show as the Gunners ran out 3-0 winners against Fenerbahce in the first leg of their Champions League play-off in mid-week, scoring one of Arsenal’s goals as they took a commanding lead in the tie.
Gunners goalkeeper Fabianski has been hugely impressed by the Wales international’s improved display in recent weeks, and says that the midfielder has finally overcome the horrific leg break he suffered back in 2010.
“You can see he has improved a lot when it comes to the final pass,” Fabianski told Arsenal’s website. “He did that against Manchester City, and also against Fenerbahce.
“Apart from scoring the second goal, he gave the ball to Theo for the first and he then set up Gibbsy. Aaron is bossing the midfield, his engine is massive so he can run and run and tactically he has improved a lot.
“He had a bad time with injury but now you can see that physically he is stronger. Maybe that physical presence gives you more confidence with challenges and then comes the technical aspect of football and he always had that quality.
“He has improved massively in recent times.”
