Christian Benteke scored a sensational double to help Aston Villa secure a memorable 3-1 victory over 10-man Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.

Elsewhere, Fulham, Southampton and West Ham United all enjoyed opening-day wins, while Norwich City came from behind to seal a 2-2 draw with Everton.
