Simon Mignolet made a stunning last-gasp penalty save as Liverpool held on to secure a 1-0 victory over Stoke City at Anfield.

Daniel Sturridge made the breakthrough in the 37th minute and Stoke had the chance to rescue a point through the penalty spot on the stroke of full-time but Jonathan Walters’s effort was saved by Reds debutant Mignolet.
