Manuel Pellegrini’s men were beaten 3-2 by Cardiff City on Sunday as the Premier League new-boys came from behind to stun the 2011-12 champions in Wales.

That defeat came as more of a shock after City had looked so impressive in their 4-0 opening weekend thrashing of Newcastle United just a few days earlier.

Fortunately for Pellegrini’s side, the defeat was made that little bit easier to swallow after title rivals Manchester United and Chelsea shared the spoils in a goalless draw at Old Trafford on Monday night. That results means City are just a point behind their local rivals.

Nevertheless, City will be keen to make amends against Steve Bruce’s Hull side on Saturday as they look to bounce back from the upset.

Hull head into Saturday’s game buoyed by their first win of the season, as they showed impressive resilience to hold on for more than an hour with 10 men to beat Norwich City 1-0 and notch up their first Premier League points of the season.

This has all the makings of an intriguing top-flight clash, so why not book your place at Etihad Stadium on Saturday today?
