Pablo Zabaleta: Man City want to win ‘as many trophies as possible’
Manchester City vice-captain Pablo Zabaleta says the Citizens want to win "as many trophies as possible" this season
Pablo Zabaleta says Manchester City want to win “as many trophies as possible” this season.
The Citizens vice-captain was part of the club’s side which won the FA Cup in 2011 before lifting the Premier League crown one season later.
The Argentina international was bitterly disappointed with the Eastlands outfit’s performance in the Premier League last term, finishing 11 points behind Manchester United.
But with a new manager, Manuel Pellegrini, at the helm, Zabaleta revealed there is a “very positive” atmosphere around the club ahead of the new season.
“Last season was a little bit disappointing for the team as we didn’t win anything,” Zabaleta in the Manchester Evening News.
“Now we are looking forward and everyone is very positive. I can see that the players are very focused, we’ve been working hard and I’m sure that everyone is very hungry for trophies. Hopefully we can win something.
“We want to win as many trophies as possible. Hopefully, next season will be perfect for the club.
“Our target is all the competitions and to do our best in all of them. If we win some of them it will be great.”
