Broad, Pietersen & more: Twitter reacts as England win Ashes 3-0
Stuart Broad and Kevin Pietersen both tweet their thoughts after England beat Australia 3-0 in the Ashes series at The Oval
England were denied the chance to seal a record 4-0 Ashes series win after bad light came to Australia’s rescue as the fifth Test ended in a draw at The Oval.
Alastair Cook’s men needed 21 from 24 balls to successfully chase down a target of 227 set by Australia, but the umpires called time on the day’s proceedings to ensure England would have to settle for a 3-0 series win.
Nevertheless, here is a selection of our favourite tweets from the professionals, as well as celebrity cricket fans, to England’s triumph.

Ex-batsman Mark Butcher (@markbutcher72) gives a different view to the general opinion: “Got to feel for the two umpires, they were merely implementing the laws. They must be feeling pretty low at the moment.”
