Tottenham transfers: ‘Gareth Bale has shown Spurs a lack of respect’
Tottenham transfers: Former Barcelona star Hristo Stoichkov says Gareth Bale showed a lack of respect by skipping Spurs' training

Gareth Bale is guilty of showing a lack of respect to Tottenham Hotspur, according to former Barcelona star Hristo Stoichkov.
The Spurs winger’s future has been a source of relentless uncertainty this summer following the north London side’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Real Madrid have been the consistent front-runners to snap up the 24-year-old PFA player of the year, with reports claiming that a world-record £86m fee has already been agreed between the two clubs.
And Stoichkov believes Bale isn’t worth the touted £86m (€100m) fee, also accusing the Welshman of being disrespectful after failing to show up to Spurs training on Monday.
“Bale has shown a lack of respect toward his Tottenham team-mates by not showing up for training,” Stoichkov told Onda Cero.
He added: “If Bale is worth €100m, I would have been priceless.
“No Englishman [sic] who came to Spanish football has ever succeeded.”
