Tottenham transfers: Zenit St Petersburg manager Luciano Spaletti insists Hulk is not for sale amid interest from Spurs
Luciano Spalletti has reiterated Zenit St Petersburg striker Hulk is not for sale amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Brazil international has regularly been linked with a move to the Premier League over the past 12 months.
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas, who is set to miss out on Chelsea-bound Willian, previously worked with Hulk during his spell as Porto boss.
The 27-year-old is currently recovering from a hamstring injury, and Zenit manager Spalletti insisted the Russian side would not be entertaining bids for the forward.
“He is recovering rapidly. But the exact date, we can not tell you. He has exceptional muscle mass, it is difficult to predict anything. Let’s wait for the forecast of our doctors. And again, Hulk is not for sale,” Spalletti told reporters.
Hulk has scored eight goals in 21 Russian Premier League appearances following a reported £50m move to Zenit St Petersburg from Porto last summer.
The former Porto striker helped Brazil win the Confederations Cup earlier this summer ahead of next year’s World Cup.
