Arsenal transfers: Arsene Wenger once again reassures fans that the Gunners are working hard to bring in new signings

Arsene Wenger has once again reassured Arsenal fans that the Gunners are working hard to bring in new signings before Monday’s deadline.
The Gunners have so far only signed Yaya Sanogo and Mathieu Flamini on free transfers despite being linked with a host of top players during the course of the summer.
Now, with a little over 24 hours to go until the summer window closes, Wenger insisted the north Londoners are working hard on signings, with the Frenchman expecting a “busy” day on Monday.
“If we sign somebody I promise you that we will be very quick to announce it, but maybe we will have a good surprise for you,” Wenger told Sky Sports after watching his side beat Tottenham 1-0 thanks to Olivier Giroud’s first-half goal.
“I believe ideally you want of course to still strengthen the squad because we have long-term injuries and you always want more quality.
“We are working very hard and let’s give us time until 11pm tomorrow.
“It’ll be a busy day [tomorrow]. It was a busy day yesterday and a busy night as well. We’ll be there – don’t worry.”
