Jordan Henderson has hailed Liverpool’s Victor Moses as a “fantastic talent” after the forward moved to the Reds on a season-long loan.

The Nigeria international agreed a deal with the Merseyside outfit on deadline day after successfully completing a medical at the club’s Melwood training ground on Monday morning.

The 22-year-old scored 10 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season following his £9m switch to the west London side from Wigan Atheltic in August 2012.

Henderson played alongside Moses at youth level for England before the winger changed his allegiance to Nigeria, and Henderson rates the former Latics man highly.

“I’ve played with Victor before and he’s a fantastic talent,” Henderson told Liverpool’s website. “He’ll come in here and contribute to the team like the rest of the new signings.

“He’ll be a brilliant addition to the squad and I’m really looking forward to seeing him.

“He’s very talented. He’s powerful, he’s good with the ball, he can use both feet and he’s good at cutting inside or going on down the outside.

“Victor is a quick player and he can get goals as well. I think he’s perfect for our team. Hopefully he’ll do really well here.”
