Luis Suárez still seeking Liverpool exit, claims Steve McMahon

Steve McMahon believes that Luis Suárez is still looking to leave Liverpool after failing to seal a move away from Anfield this summer.
The 26-year-old’s future was a source of constant speculation throughout the duration of the summer transfer window after he publicly stated his desire to leave Merseyside for a club in the Champions League.
Arsenal are understood to have had two bids for the Uruguay international turned down by the Reds, who were keen not to strengthen a potential top-four rival.
But former Liverpool midfielder McMahon, who scored 29 league goals for the Reds, feels that the striker still has his heart set on a move away from the club.
“You don’t know whether you can trust him,” McMahon told talkSPORT. ”If he had the opportunity to jump ship, do you think he’d do it? The obvious answer is yes.
“He’s just biding his time. He wants to get another good season under his belt and then he’ll see what opportunities there are to leave Liverpool [next summer].”
Suárez scored 23 Premier League goals last season before being handed a 10-game ban by the FA for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during a game at Anfield.
