Man United captain Vidic: No hairdryer treatment from Moyes
Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic says the Red Devils squad are yet to receive the "hairdryer treatment" from David Moyes
Nemanja Vidic has revealed Manchester United manager David Moyes has yet to resort to Sir Alex Ferguson’s infamous hairdryer treatment.
The reigning Premier League champions have made a mixed start to the defence of their title after an opening day win against Swansea was followed by a stalemate with Chelsea and a loss at Anfield.
The 50-year-old replaced Red Devils legend Ferguson earlier this summer after deciding to end his 11-year reign at Everton.
And the United captain Vidic insisted the 20-time English champions are in “good shape” despite a muted start to the campaign.
“Until now he didn’t really have any need to, like you say, hairdryer and shout at players, because at the moment everything is going smooth,” Vidic told Talksport.
“The players are training well, and as long as it’s like that he won’t have any reason to do it. Hopefully it will stay like that.”
He added: “The training is different – different kind of routines – which is normal when the new manager comes.
“Obviously he’s brought his staff as well, who have worked with us for two months, and we’ve got to know each other more.
“It’s all positive – I think we are in good shape.
“It’s not big, big changes – we have similar players – but he’s trying to teach the players different things.
“There are lots of positives, and now it’s the time to show them on the pitch.”
