Ryan Giggs insists Manchester United are ready to fight for silverware on all fronts this season following their routine win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Goals from Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney helped the Red Devils notch up their second league win of the season at Old Trafford against the 10-man Eagles.

Giggs and his side now face four games in just 11 days, with United set to host Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday before travelling to local rivals Manchester City on Sunday.

But the 39-year-old believes David Moyes’ squad are rediscovering their match sharpness just in time for their testing run.

“I think we’re in good shape,” Giggs said. “In the first few games of the season you don’t really know where everyone’s at because players have joined at different times of pre-season or missed pre-season altogether.

“But now, especially after the international break, I think a few of the guys have caught up in terms of training or minutes on the pitch for their countries.

“We’re all ready and prepared to fully use the squad now because it seems like there’s a game every couple of days from now on.”
