Sergio Aguero: Man City can win Champions League with a bit of luck
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero believes the Citizens can win the Champions League with a bit of luck this season

Sergio Aguero believes Manchester City can reach the Champions League final with a bit of “luck” this season.
The Citizens have failed to have any impact in Europe’s premier club competition over the past two campaigns, being eliminated at the group stage in 2011 and 2012.
Aguero, who joined City in a £38m deal in 2011, tasted Europa League success with his former club Atletico Madrid in 2009 when the La Liga outfit beat Fulham in the final in Hamburg.
City’s new manager Manuel Pellegrini led Malaga to the Champions League quarter-finals last season, and Aguero is confident the Citizens can have an impact this term.
“The Champions League sometimes allows semi-surprises,” Aguero is quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News.
“Dortmund were finalists last year and Roberto di Matteo’s Chelsea in 2012. They were good teams and tactically well-organised but were certainly not considered the best at the beginning.
“We have Bayern again this year, but we also play CSKA and Viktoria. Get past the first stage and, with luck, you can get to the final.”
