Mesut Ozil will make his Arsenal debut against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon after he is included in the starting line-up

Mesut Ozil will make his Arsenal debut against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon after the Germany international was included in the Gunners’ starting line-up.

The 24-year-old joined the Gunners in a club record £42.5m deal from Real Madrid on transfer deadline day and will start alongisde Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud.

Mathieu Flamini also starts his first game for the north Londoners since his return to Emirates Stadium on a free transfer, while Santi Cazorla is not in the squad.
