Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen: I’m not as good as Mesut Ozil

Christian Eriksen admits he is flattered by comparisons to Mesut Ozil, but does not feel he is at the Arsenal playmaker’s level just yet.
Eriksen, 21, was one of seven new players to arrive at Tottenham this summer and impressed on his White Hart Lane debut in a 2-0 win over Norwich on Saturday.
Ozil also made his Premier League bow on Saturday as he sparkled in Arsenal’s 3-1 win at Sunderland following his £42.5m move from Real Madrid.
Both players have been tipped to impress this term but Denmark international Eriksen says he still has a lot to learn in the coming seasons.
“I think Ozil has achieved a little bit more than me!” Eriksen told the Daily Mirror. “I am a few years younger and still have to learn a lot but it is nice to be compared.
“Some players are booed in the first games and then are good. Hopefully the fans will not do that to me! But there will be mistakes. I am 21, but I hope I will make as few mistakes as possible.
“From what I have heard, it is not good to be compared with Arsenal players! But really, it is pretty cool to be compared with such big players.”
