Manchester City made a rare winning start to their Champions League group-stage campaign as Manuel Pellegrini’s men secured a 3-0 victory at Viktoria Plzen.

Elsewhere, Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney netted his 200th Red Devils goal as David Moyes’ side were 4-2 winners against Bayer Leverkusen at Old Trafford.
