England can take a big step towards World Cup qualification on Friday night, and the Tipster is backing Wayne Rooney to score against Montenegro at Wembley.

Our resident betting expert is backing Roy Hodgson’s men to get the job done despite expecting the visitors to net in the English capital.

Also in this edition, find out why you should back Germany to beat the Republic of Ireland by two goals, and Wales to win against Macedonia by at least two clear strikes.

Rooney to score any time for England v Montenegro – 10/11

The 27-year-old has recently enjoyed a return to form back in his favoured forward role. The Red Devils man has netted three goals in six outings for United this season. Rooney scored in the reverse fixture in March as England were held to a 1-1 draw. So The Tipster fancies Rooney to score against Montenegro at tempting odds of 10/11.

England to beat Montenegro – 4/11 (*2/1)

England’s record against Montenegro isn’t great – the Three Lions are yet to beat their Group H opponents in three attempts. However, with World Cup qualification on the line and with a partisan Wembley crowd, the Tipster is backing the hosts to get the job done. England have won four of their last five matches at Wembley, and Roy Hodgson’s men are 4/11 (*2/1 – Sign up here to get the special odds!) to secure three points on Friday night.

Montenegro to score one goal or more v England – 5/6

England have struggled defensively over the past 18 months. Joe Hart has only kept one clean sheet in five outings – and the Manchester City goalkeeper is currently out of form. With first-choice full-backs Ashley Cole and Glen Johnson also missing, the Tipster reckons Montenegro to score at least one goal is a good shout at 5/6.

Germany to beat Ireland by two goals – 3/1

The Tipster expects a rejuvenated Republic of Ireland to prove stubborn opponents for Germany. Noel King has recalled some of the players who had fallen out of favour under Giovanni Trapattoni, adding new impetus to the squad. Ireland have nothing but pride to realistically play for, and while the Tipster expects Germany to win, he reckons it will be by a two-goal margin at odds of 3/1.

The long shot: Wales to beat Macedonia by two goals or more – 4/1

While Wales were thrashed 3-0 by Serbia in their most recent outing, they have shown a marked improvement in recent games under Chris Coleman. The Welsh were unfortunate to suffer a 2-1 loss in the reverse of this fixture. With Aaron Ramsey in superb form, the Tipster reckons Wales to beat Macedonia by two goals or more is a good shout at 4/1.
