The west London side struck late through Eden Hazard and Willian to seal a 3-1 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday.
It hoisted Chelsea into the Premier League’s top three behind Arsenal and Liverpool, and the Serbian wants the Blues to continue their run after the World Cup qualifiers.
“When we’re back from the national team we have the very tight schedule of games,” said Ivanović.
“I think we have to work very hard to be top, and use all the squad for these kind of games that are coming up for us.
“I think we are (heading) in the right way.”
Ivanović tipped the Premier League title race to be one of the closest in its history, particularly praising the Gunners after the north London side’s impressive start.
“This year is going to be a very tough, a very difficult league,” he added.
“Every team will have a bad period and a good period. The important thing is in the bad period to take the points, and to stay (in contention).
“Arsenal are doing well at the moment, but the season is a long one.”
