David Luiz insists he “doesn’t care” about any other results in the Premier League – as long as Chelsea are winning.

The Blues travel to Norwich City on Sunday afternoon knowing a victory will move them up into third place in the top-flight table.

The Manchester clubs have lost five games between them so far this term, but Luiz says he is only bothered about his own team’s results.

“It’s not crazy, it’s normal,” Luiz told Chelsea’s website. “I think that’s why it’s the best league in the world, because everyone can beat everyone, so that’s why it’s magic.

“Other teams can lose, I don’t want Chelsea to lose, so I don’t care if Manchester United or Manchester City have lost, I just want to win.”

The Brazilian defender also played up the significance of Sunday’s showdown at Carrow Road.

“This match is so important for us,” Luiz continued. “We know that it is always an intense game, they play long balls all the time in the air, like a Premier League team, but also we need to win because we want to be at the top of the table.”
