Stuart Lancaster: England will be ready for autumn challenge
Stuart Lancaster insists his England side will be ready for the upcoming autumn internatonals
Stuart Lancaster insists no stone will be left unturned in England’s preparations for this year’s autumn internationals.
Last season’s Six Nations runner’s up will face Australia, Argentina and New Zealand next month with the Twickenham faithful expecting big things from Lancaster’s charges.
England face Australia on 2 November and will call upon a host of victorious British & Irish Lions, while those who featured in the summer series win in Argentina will be at the fore when the South Americans visit a week later.
The All Blacks are the final visitors to Rugby HQ on 16 November and will be looking for revenge having lost 38-21 last December.
And while Lancaster – who has recently returned from a trip to New Zealand – is expecting a major challenge from all three he revealed plans are in place to ensure England mean business.
“The analysis of every team we are playing – Argentina, Australia and New Zealand – is ongoing on a weekly basis,” said Lancaster.
“The Australian Lions experience that Graham and Andy had and obviously what the players took from that series, that is going to hold some weight.
“There is also our Argentinian experience from this summer that Catty [Mike Catt] and I had – it is all ongoing. I went out to Australia and New Zealand at the end of August for the same reasons.”
