Cesc Fabregas has reiterated his desire to end his career at Barcelona despite speculation linking him with a return to the Premier League in the future.

The 26-year-old was the subject of two failed bids from reigning Premier League champions Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Fàbregas joined Barcelona in a £35m deal from Arsenal in 2011 after eight seasons at the north London side, winning the FA Cup crown in 2005.

Arsenal had been linked with a move for their former captain in the past, whilst United could rekindle their interest next summer, but Fàbregas is keen to remain at Camp Nou.

“It would be a dream come true to retire with Barca,” Fabregas posted on his Facebook page.

“I will continue to work very hard to make that happen.

“Playing here is a dream and means everything to me because I have always been a huge fan.”

Fabregas has scored 34 goals and made 40 assists in 114 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions following his return to the Catalan side.
