Arsenal transfers: Nicklas Bendtner wants January exit
Arsenal transfers: Nicklas Bendtner underlines his desire to seal a transfer away from north London in January
Nicklas Bendtner has underlined his desire to seal a transfer away from Arsenal in January.
The Denmark international has found his first-team chances at the Gunners few and far between this season, with Arsene Wenger deploying Olivier Giroud as his first-choice front-man.
Bendtner spent the last two seasons on loan at Sunderland and then Juventus, before Wenger opted to keep him at the club despite the forward being linked with Crystal Palace and Hull City over the summer.
Now, the 25-year-old has confirmed his desire to quit the north London side in search of regular first-team football.
“I want to get away from Arsenal. Whether it is for winter, we must wait to see,” Bendtner is quoted as saying by Ekstra Bladet.
“I weigh my decision depending on where the highest sporting challenge lies. In this context, finances mean very little for me.
“I’ve been playing football since I was four years old and back then it was for the love of the sport. It is for that love that I play today as well.”
