Costel Pantilimon (£4.9m): Manchester City’s second-choice goalkeeper appears set to enjoy a sustained run in the first-team as Manuel Pellegrini continues to leave Joe Hart benched. Pantilimon has already kept three clean sheets in his three appearances over the past week. He’s a very cheap option for a top Premier League side.
Nathan Baker (£3.9m)Aston Villa have a good run of fixtures coming up after a tough start to the season. Paul Lambert has shown his faith in Nathan Baker and he’s a good option, even for your bench. The Villa youngster has racked up the points after helping his side keep three clean sheets in his last six appearances.
Glen Johnson (£5.7m) The Liverpool right-back should start against Fulham after missing the 2-0 loss to Arsenal due to illness. Brendan Rodgers encourages his full-backs to get forward and Johnson has shown in the past that he has an eye for goal. Good value here.
Raznan Rat (£4.5m) Another shrewd Sam Allardyce purchase. The Romanian has picked up three clean sheets in his last four appearances. He should make that four in five with lacklustre Norwich City facing the Hammers on Saturday.
Marko Arnautovic (£5.5m) Mark Hughes has deployed the Stoke City midfielder in a more advanced position, and it’s a tactical move that has paid dividends. The Potters man has scored two goals in his last three games and Stoke have an encouraging run of fixtures on the horizon.
Philippe Coutinho (£8.5m) The Brazil international made a return to first-team action at Arsenal last weekend as a half-time substitute. Don’t be fooled by his cameo, Coutinho should add to his three goals and five assists in a Liverpool shirt once a few cobwebs are blown out of his system.
Yohan Cabaye (£6.2m) So often Newcastle United’s shining light through good and bad times, Yohan Cabaye looked very impressive against Chelsea. The France international will need to be at his best for the tricky trip to Spurs, before home games against Norwich and West Brom.
Romelu Lukaku (£8.1m) It’s fill your boots time for Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian will want to get back to making positive headlines this weekend and will relish the chance to add to his five Everton goals against Crystal Palace. A must have.
Alvaro Negredo (£9.1m) For those who can’t afford Sergio Aguero, look no further than Alvaro Negredo. The Spaniard has a solid return since moving from Sevilla this summer. He has four goals and two assists this term and scored a hat-trick against CSKA Moscow mid-week.
Lukaku and Luis Suarez are good picks. It would be wise to avoid the Manchester United-Arsenal game as it is an unpredictable fixture. Stick with Aguero’s incredible form which looks set to continue against Sunderland.
