Jose Mourinho has called on Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku to reveal the REAL reason behind his season-long loan move to Everton.

The Belgium international claimed in an interview earlier on Friday that he has not spoken to the Chelsea manager since his temporary switch to Goodison Park on transfer deadline day.

Lukaku has been in scintillating form for the Toffees and his brace in a 3-3 draw with Liverpool in the Merseyside derby last weekend took his Everton tally to seven goals.

And the Chelsea manager revealed that during his last contact with the 20-year-old he asked why the former Anderlecht man has failed to shed light on the real reason behind his loan switch.

“Romelu likes to speak. He is a young boy and he likes to speak. But the only thing that he didn’t say is why he went to Everton on loan… that’s the only thing he never says,” Mourinho told a media conference ahead of Chelsea’s clash against Southampton on Sunday.

“My last contact with him was to tell him exactly that. ‘Why? Why do you never say why you are not here?’

“So it’s something that you should say to him because he likes to speak. It is something that he should say – the reason why he is not with Chelsea but at Everton.”

Lukaku is yet to open his Chelsea account following loan spells at Everton and West Bromwich Albion after joining the Blues in 2011.
