Liverpool’s Victor Moses is really happy here, insists Brendan Rodgers
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists Victor Moses is really happy at the Reds despite a lack of playing time in recent weeks
Brendan Rodgers insists Victor Moses is “really happy” at Liverpool – but admits the forward is struggling to break into the first-team.
The Nigeria international, who moved to Anfield on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea on transfer deadline day, hasn’t started a Premier League game for the Reds since their 2-2 draw with Newcastle United at St James’ Park in October.
Moses spoke of his desire to secure regular first-team football earlier this week, and Rodgers has praised the 22-year-old’s attitude since his switch to the 18-time English champions.
“The boy (Moses) has been really happy here. Of course he wants to play but the team has been doing very well and the change in structure meant him coming out of the team,” Rodgers said.
“Victor is a talent and is happy to be in the squad, he wants to improve and I communicate regularly with him. He has never said a bad word about Liverpool since he’s been here.
“Him and the other players have every opportunity to play because I assess them in training and pick my team from that.”
