Philippe Coutinho reveals he didn’t think twice about swapping Inter Milan for Liverpool in January transfer window.

The Brazil international has enjoyed an instant impact at the Reds following his switch, scoring six goals and making six assists in 27 appearances in all competitions for the Reds.

The 21-year-old, who spent three seasons at the San Siro, found himself out-of-favour at the Nerazzurri following Rafael Benitez’s departure before Brendan Rodgers signed the South American earlier this year.

And Coutinho was impressed by Liverpool’s ambition to win major trophies – and the chance to play regular first-team football.

“I had some chances at Inter, but after a few years – certainly by the time Liverpool were interested – I was not getting many chances,” Coutinho is quoted as saying by Telegraph.

“As a footballer all you ever want is the chance to play, and show people how well you can play. I knew at Liverpool I would get that opportunity so I didn’t think twice.

“You look at a club and you see a top European team, with top players and top ambitions to win every major trophy, even if it will take time. I didn’t even have to think about the decision.”
