Daniel Sturridge will undergo a late fitness test ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Hull City on Sunday, manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed.

The England international came off the bench to score Liverpool’s late equaliser in the dramatic 3-3 draw at Everton last weekend.

The 24-year-old has been struggling to shake off a dead leg but Rodgers revealed that Sturridge has been taking part in full training this week.

“He has certainly trained very hard this week,” Rodgers said of Sturridge.

“We’ve got another day to go to prepare and see where all the players are at.

“I like to give all the players every chance to show that they can be in the team. He has worked exceptionally well and, when he does that, his quality is there for everyone to see.”

The Northern Irishman also confirmed that Liverpool had no fresh injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s clash. “Nothing at this moment,” he added.

Liverpool travel to Hull looking for a victory to keep to within four points of Premier League leaders Arsenal.
