Tottenham transfers: Miralem Pjanic insists he won't be leaving Roma in January despite interest from Premier League
Miralem Pjanic insists he wants to stay at Roma beyond January despite reported interest from Premier League.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international, who moved to Roma from Lyon in 2011, has scored three goals and four assists in 12 Serie A appearances this season.
Pjanic has been a driving force behind Roma’s recent ascent to the top of Serie A, attracting interest from Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 23-year-old midfielder admitted he could leave the Serie A outfit in the future but insisted his immediate future lies in the Italian capital.
“I won’t exclude the possibility of one day playing elsewhere, but I doubt this will happen soon,” said Pjanic.
“It certainly won’t be in January, which is what some people have said, and certainly not in the next year and a half either.”
Pjanic has scored nine goals and made 19 assists in 69 appearances since joining Roma from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon.
