Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal should be STRONGER following their loss to Manchester City ahead of Chelsea’s trip to The Emirates on Monday.

The Gunners will bid to end a two-game losing streak when Wenger’s men seek to beat their west London opponents for the first time in four attempts.

I believe that we should come out of that game even stronger in our belief

Arsenal’s defence was ripped apart by the Citizens last weekend as Sergio Aguero, Ferdinandinho, Yaya Toure, David Silva and Alvaro Negredo all netted in a 6-3 win.

But Wenger backed his Gunners back four to “rectify” their recent defensive problems against third-placed Chelsea.

“Quite amazingly, despite the fact we conceded goals, the match was not all negative,” Wenger said. “Because we could have scored six as well.

“On the offensive front, we have shown that we have huge potential.

“I believe that we should come out of that game even stronger in our belief, even
stronger in our resolute attitude, because we have shown until now that we can be very strong defensively and, as well, on the day we have shown that we can be dangerous against anybody.

“We can rectify the defensive problem, but that’s what we want to show against Chelsea.”
