Arsenal transfers: Paris Saint-Germain striker Ezequiel Lavezzi refuses to rule out England move
Ezequiel Lavezzi has refused to rule out a move away from Paris Saint-Germain in January amid reported interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Argentina international has found himself behind PSG forwards Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani in the pecking order during the opening months of the Ligue 1 season.
What I can tell you is that I will do everything to change my situation in Paris
Lavezzi, who joined the French champions from Napoli in a €30m (£25m) deal in 2012, has scored one goal and made two assists in seven top-flight appearances this season.
And the South American remained coy on speculation surrounding a possible move away from the French capital next month.
“I do not know. A player never knows exactly all these things,” Lavezzi told Le Parisien.
“But what I can tell you is that I will do everything to change my situation in Paris because I did not give my best shot and I do not want this to continue.”
Lavezzi hinted that he has endured fitness struggles this season ahead of the start of the Ligue 1 campaign.
“I did not prepare myself well before the championship,” he added. “And the fact that my level is not good is certainly linked to the fact that I’m a bit weak physically.”
