Paul Pogba is unlikely to pen a new Juventus deal before Christmas amid reported Arsenal interest, according to the Serie A champions.

The France international has been linked with the Gunners after blossoming into an influential Juve player since joining from Manchester United in 2012.

Unsurprisingly, the Turin outfit are eager to secure Pogba’s long-term future at the 29-time Serie A champions, as well as tying down World Cup winner Andrea Pirlo.

However, Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta doesn’t expect the pair to commit their respective futures to the Serie A leaders until after Christmas.

“There are no new developments regarding Pirlo and Pogba’s contract extensions,” Marotta said to Gazzetta dello Sport. “I don’t think these deals will be completed before Christmas.

“However, we are calm. The two players consider Juve their natural habitat.

“Our squad is world-class, and it is difficult to find any other team better than ours.”
