United will be desperate to return to winning ways in the league after they stuttered to back-to-back home defeats by Everton and Newcastle, leaving them 13 points behind leaders Arsenal.

The defending champions were dealt a huge blow in the build-up to Sunday’s showdown after it was revealed that striker Robin van Persie has been ruled out for a month with a thigh strain.

The Dutch striker, who has scored seven goals in 11 league games this season, will sit out the crucial festive period, starting with Sunday’s trip to Villa Park.

Paul Lambert’s Villa, meanwhile, will be keen to bounce back from their defeat by Fulham in their last outing. Ron Vlaar is likely to miss out again with a calf injury, while Libor Kozak and Antonio Luna remain doubts.

Villa are currently 11th in the table and just three points behind United heading into Sunday’s showdown.

So with plenty at stake for both teams in this Premier League clash, why not book your place at Villa Park today?
