Pedro admits he is crossing his fingers that Barcelona will avoid Arsenal and Manchester City in next week’s Champions League draw.
Both City and the Gunners finished as runners-up in their groups, while the defending Spanish champions topped Group H ahead of AC Milan.
And the Barcelona midfielder is hoping that his side will avoid the Premier League heavyweights in Monday’s draw.
“It’s fairly obvious that Manchester City and Arsenal are the strongest teams we might be drawn against, and let’s hope we have a bit of luck and avoid those two,” Pedro told TV show ‘El Marcador’.
Barcelona sealed their spot at the top of the group thanks to a 6-1 thrashing of Celtic on Wednesday.
And Pedro is pleased with his side’s form ahead of the knockout phase.
“We’re on the right track. We kept the intensity high from start to finish,” he said of the win over Celtic.
“The team is in good shape, physically fit, and ready to perform well in the games before Christmas.
“I’m happy the way things are going, and being able to help the team. I feel comfortable, physically fitter, and confident.”
