Danny Welbeck believes that Manchester United can be satisfied with a point after twice coming from behind to earn a draw at Tottenham on Sunday.

United pegged Spurs back thanks to goals from Wayne Rooney at White Hart Lane after Kyle Walker and Sandro had given the home side the lead on two occasions.

And Welbeck feels that a point is a good result for David Moyes’ men, despite the Red Devils now trailing Premier League leaders Arsenal by nine points.

“Coming to White Hart Lane, we had the ability to come and win the game,” Welbeck told MUTV.

“That was on our mind but unfortunately we gave away two goals. Credit to us, we quickly got the goals back afterwards. We are a bit disappointed but we can be happy with a point at the moment.

“After Wazza [Rooney] got the goal, we played some good football and moved the ball about. We gave away too many free-kicks which put us under pressure, so if we can limit ourselves from doing that then I’m sure we will be a lot better in future games.”
