Raheem Sterling has challenged Liverpool to secure “back-to-back” wins in home games against Norwich City and West Ham United.

The England international made a rare Premier League start at the KC Stadium as the Reds suffered a 3-1 loss to Hull City on Sunday.

Liverpool dropped to fourth place after Chelsea’s win against Southampton, and Sterling wants the Reds to get their top-four bid back on track this week.

“In these back-to-back games at home, hopefully we can go out there and get the six points that we need to get right back where we need to be,” Sterling told Liverpool’s website.

“We’ve got big ambitions to be right up at the top end. Hopefully in these next two games we can do the job.

“We’re only looking for the positives and today wasn’t one of them. We’ll take that into the game against Norwich on Wednesday. Hopefully we can get the three points and move on to Saturday.

“I thought we started off a little bit slowly, but gradually got into our game. We were just really disappointed to slip away at the end and lose two crucial goals.”
