Jose Mourinho believes his title favourites Manchester City have more ammunition than any of their Premier League rivals.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men, who are currently third, are England’s top goal-scorers after netting an impressive 37 strikes in 13 top-flight games in the current campaign.

The Chilean has the likes of the Premier League’s leading finisher Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Negredo and Stevan Jovetic at his disposal to lead the City line.

And Mourinho feels the Citizens squad is brimming with talented players at their peak and with experience of winning top European titles.

Asked why he picked City as title favourites, Mourinho replied: “I meant the quality of the players, the profile of the players, the experience of the players, and the average age of the players.

“They don’t have old players or very young players. You see they have players with big maturity and big experience.

“Aguero, Dzeko, Negredo and even Jovetic – I say even Jovetic because he’s injured.

“If you go through the positions no [players] are older than 30 or less than 23. The squad is amazing.

“They have solutions and solutions and solutions.

“So if you ask me the team is more ammunition and I have to be honest, and apologies to the other four, but my opinion is City is the team with more ammunition.”
