Picture special: Arsenal stars pose in Christmas jumpers

Arsenal players are so excited about Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day that they have pulled out their best woolly jumpers early and even learnt how to play with a knitted football for the occasion.
Emmanuel Frimpong, Lukas Podolski, Per Mertesacker, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lukasz Fabianski all posed in their best festive woollies to raise awareness for the day.
On Friday 13 December, Save the Children is calling on people across the UK to help make the world better with a sweater and take part in the tradition of wearing a kitsch Christmas jumper in exchange for a £1 donation to raise money for its life saving work with children the world over.
Arsenal’s partnership with Save the Children is helping the poorest children to get a better start in life and giving them the chance to grow and fulfil their potential.
Arsenal dedicated its Premier League match against Everton on Sunday to The Arsenal Foundation, which supports a range of education projects in the UK and overseas, including those of its global charity partner, Save the Children.
