Sam Allardyce has moved to reassure disgruntled West Ham supporters that he will do all he can to bolster his squad in January.

The Hammers find themselves 17th in the Premier League table on 13 points and only above the relegation zone on goal difference.

What we want to try and do is look at all players that are available

Allardyce’s men have recorded just one win from their last eight league outings and have lost their last two games.

And the West Ham boss insists that he is already thinking about possible new recruits during the mid-season window.

“The supporters are frustrated,” said Allardyce. “They didn’t and we didn’t expect to be where we are at this moment in time.

“When we played against Fulham we were in a similar position and alleviated some pressure but let ourselves down after that.

“The owners have always shown patience when dealing with a difficult situation, it’s about picking up results and the pressure will go.

“What we want to try and do is look at all players that are available,” he added. “Everyone knows that we’re in the market for a player.”
