Thibaut Courtois has revealed that he is set to hold talks with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho in the coming months over his Blues future.

The 21-year-old has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid after the Spanish club sold highly-rated David De Gea to Manchester United in 2011.

There will be a decision about my future at the end of March, or in the first weeks of April

Courtois, whose Blues contract is set to expire in 2016, has won the Europa League, Uefa Super Cup and Copa del Rey during his spell at Atletico, as well as becoming Belgium’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Chelsea number one Petr Cech is currently midway through his tenth season at Stamford Bridge, and Courtois believes his Blues future will be resolved in March or April.

“My agent is talking with Chelsea. One of the coming weeks I’ll have a chat with José Mourinho,” Courtois said.

“I think there will be a decision about my future at the end of March, or in the first weeks of April.”

Courtois is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea since completing a move from Genk to west London in 2011.
