Lukas Podolski believes that Arsenal’s improved team spirit can help guide the Gunners to their first Premier League title since 2004.

The north Londoners can keep their place at the top of the Premier League table with victory over Cardiff City at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.

And Podolski, who is expected to lead the Arsenal front-line in the absence of the injured Olivier Giroud, says Arsene Wenger’s squad are closer than ever this season.

“We have a good team and we have a lot of fun together,” Podolski told Arsenal’s website.

“I have never been in a team like this before; we stay together, we have fun and we have played a good season so far.

“It has been really good and I hope we stay on top until the end of the season.”
