Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud happy with ‘good reaction’ after Liverpool loss
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is pleased with a goalless draw with Manchester United after their bad Liverpool result

Olivier Giroud feels Arsenal responded in a positive manner to their horror show at Anfield following a goalless draw with Manchester United on Wednesday night.
The Gunners striker had the best of the home side’s chances as he headed narrowly wide from a corner before failing to direct Bacary Sagna’s low cross goalwards.
It’s a good draw to be honest even if we could have scored at the end

Arsenal, who remain in second place following their mid-week stalemate, suffered an embarrassing 5-1 loss to top-four rivals Liverpool at Anfield at the weekend.
And Giroud believes Arsenal have gained much-needed confidence from a point against the defending Premier League champions ahead of their fifth-round FA Cup tie against Liverpool on Sunday.
“I think we had a good reaction after the bad result against Liverpool,” Giroud told Arsenal’s website.
“I think it’s a good draw to be honest even if we could have scored at the end. It was maybe just about our confidence.
“We did well in the first half especially but after we looked a bit tired. It’s OK, we had a good reaction on the pitch and I think that’s the most important thing even if we wanted to win this game.
“I’m confident for the remaining games and we’ll know a bit more about our future after Liverpool and Bayern [Munich] because we want to play in every competition.”
